Consisting of just 12 spacious safari-style tented rooms, Toka Leya Camp, overlooks the stout Zambezi River. Wooden walkways stand above the ground to preserve the rich environment. Jackalberry, Knobthorn and Waterberry trees shade the Eastern, main area of the camp. Far-reaching views of the Zambezi take over the Western part of the camp in a more open setting, offering an ancient baobab tree as the focal point. Located a few miles upstream from Victoria Falls, Toka Leya offers a private and luxurious setting for exploring the region.
The camp's main area consisting of a dining room, lounge, and bar offer capacious room for leisure and are balanced by an infinity pool. The infamous pizza oven delights the guests with a familiar taste. There is also a curio shop that displays a fine selection of local crafts.
Insider's Guide:
Twelve luxury safari-style tented rooms overlook the Zambezi River and have en-suite facilities including a bath, shower, toilet, basin, and mosquito nets. All the rooms have fans. The rooms are all completely open in the front, giving guests uninterrupted views of the Zambezi.
The interiors of the tents offer a unique African decor with wood flooring and climate control to cool those hot summer days. Each unit also has an extensive wooden deck to soak up the views of the Zambezi River and to catch the sights and sounds of birds, elephants, hippos, and many other animals that make their home along the Zambezi River. The islands in front of camp offer heavy vegetation and offer rapids and channels to view from your private deck. If seclusion is important, the Family units are positioned to offer quiet, undisturbed privacy.
