Sitting on picturesque Manafaru island in the Haa Alifu Atoll, the Waldorf Astoria Maldives is surrounded by a colorful coral reef.
Waldorf Astoria’s well-appointed villas, both beach and over water, enjoy the use of their own private pools, along with the services of a butler who will tend to guests’ every need. Traditional Maldivian style is celebrated in architectural details from the open-air en-suite design to the thatched roofing.
Gourmet meals, prepared by the Waldorf Astoria’s international chef, are available at the resort’s delightful eateries – Medium-Rare, an international grill; and Saffron, serving Asian fusion fare – or can be enjoyed beachside or served on the romantic over-water pavilion.
The resort’s De’Spa is surrounded by lush tropical vegetation and features treatment rooms dotted intermittently throughout the dense foliage.

Your home will be one of sixty-eight beautifully-designed contemporary thatched villas, each with its own private pool, a butler to attend to your every whim and the latest in modern technology, including iPod hook-up, high-speed internet and email and LCD TVs.
Each villa is a celebration of sleek, contemporary Maldivian architecture, where floor to ceiling doors open out onto your spacious deck, blurring the boundary between in-and-outdoor spheres. All have an outdoor dining area, open-air bathroom with Philippe Starck fittings and private pool. Each category also has its own unique characteristics, for example those over-water have glass-paneled floors and those on the beach, private beach cabanas. Ecological conscious all the way, natural light is the order of the day, and a natural ventilation.
Beach Villa
Leisurely spread throughout the island’s lush vegetation, the thatched-roof Maldivian-style villas are all generously sized and elegantly decorated. Soft silhouettes, exhilarating surroundings and simple understated elegance capture the ambiance. Outdoor bathrooms feature low lying oversized bathtubs, open air rain showers and a sun deck with cozy loungers. Beach Suite
The Beach Suites have been designed to enhance the entire vacation experience with world-class comfort and sumptuous elegance.
