The El Questro Homestead is in a remote portion of the rugged Kimberley landscape. The one million acres El Questro consumes is part of some of the most spectacularly remote scenery in the World. The location is in Western Australia, close to the Northern Australia border, not far from where some outback scenes of the recent "Australia" movie were filmed.
El Questro Homestead is a luxurious resort to enjoy stunning scenery and enjoy outback life. Exploring the 200 foot escarpments of the ancient Chamberlain Gorge is a stunning way to spend an afternoon. Alternatively, fly by helicopter to remote waterholes to fish for barramundi or to relax by a billabong with no one else around.
After exploring places few have ever seen in this dramatic land of extremes, there's always a chance to relax and ponder it all. Soak away your cares in the thermal Zebedee Springs. Curl up under an ancient boab tree with a book, or simply join the local wallaby population and lounge in the shade.
Decorated with artifacts and antiques collected from Indonesia and tropical Australia, the Homestead boasts a swimming pool and tennis court set in lush, tropical gardens. Beautifully appointed, air-conditioned bedrooms have private bathrooms and verandahs, with relaxing views of the garden and river.
Voyages El Questro Homestead is usually open from April through October.

The Homestead is an exclusive retreat set over the magnificent Chamberlain Gorge. Catering to discerning guests, friendly staff provide the highest standards of service and cuisine. Homestead Room
Homestead Rooms feature modern bathrooms and furnishings. Each room has a private verandah overlooking the resort gardens with lounge furniture to relax and unwind at the end of the day. Rooms are air-conditioned and feature a private en-suite bathroom.
Chamberlain Gorge Room
Chamberlain Gorge Rooms are perched above the Chamberlain Gorge and feature a private deck with lounge furniture overlooking the gorge allowing guests to relax in total privacy. All rooms are stylishly appointed and feature a modern en-suite bathroom with a private outdoor bath offering views over the gorge.
Chamberlain Suite
The Chamberlain Suite offers panoramic views and features a wrap-around verandah with floor to ceiling windows to enjoy the magnificent sunset and sunrise over the gorge. The verandah boasts a relaxing lounge and dining area. The Suite is stylishly decorated with rustic authentic Australian furnishings, is air-conditioned and offers a large wardrobe area, a modern bathroom with double shower and an outdoor private deluxe bathtub overlooking the Chamberlain Gorge.

Guests are encouraged to choose from a selection of dining locations, from a private cliff top to the Homestead's spacious verandahs, but almost always under a canopy of stars. All meals are included in the nightly rate. Food is prepared by skilled chefs and the inventive menu is a favorite with guests.

Experience boating on the Chamberlain Gorge, or the relaxing thermal pools of Zebedee Springs. Horse trekking is a fabulous way to observe all kinds of Kimberley wildlife. Accompanied by your El Questro Ranger, you will be introduced to a wide variety of animals, birds and maybe even a saltwater crocodile! A scenic helicopter flight through canyons and gorges, past waterfalls, caves offers unrivalled views of this awesome country.
Chamberlain Gorge Cruise
Boating the Chamberlain Gorge is a must, a nearly 2 mile fresh waterhole bound by diverse flora and fauna, and belittled by a towering escarpment. The Gorge can only be accessed by boat. Enjoy champagne as you take in the breathtaking scenery.
Bush Tucker & El Questro History Tour
Learn about the culinary delights of the Aboriginal people and the foods they have survived on for thousands of years. This tour will give you an insight into the pioneering heritage and former characters of El Questro Station, as it was when it began as a working cattle station, right through to the current status of the Wilderness Park.
Zebedee Thermal Springs
A short walk through dense tropical vegetation, known as vine thicket, takes you to a series of thermal pools. Thermal water consistently rises from deep beneath the earth's tectonic plates traveling from as far as New Guinea. Private thermal pools are hidden amongst sheer cliffs and ancient Livistonia Palms. Zebedee is an oasis, a natural day spa, which is perfect for relaxing after a gorge trek or a horse ride.
